# Reset your password

Use this page if you forgot your password. MedLibro sends a code to your email address, and you choose a new password. If you still know your password, see [Change your password](/en/account/change-password).

> A new password logs you out on your other devices.

## Choose a new password

1. Select **Forgot your password?** on the [login page](https://medlibro.co/login).
2. Type your **Email**.
3. Select **Ask for the code**.
4. Find the email from MedLibro, with a subject such as *123456 is your MedLibro reset code*.
5. Type the six digits under **The code you received by email**.
6. Type a **New password** of at least 8 characters.
7. Type the same password in **Confirm the password**.
8. Select **Save the password**.

MedLibro opens the home page. If the page shows **Log in**, log in with your new password.

The code is valid for one hour. This page needs your email address, and your username does not work here.

## If the code does not work

- If no email arrives, check that you typed the address of your account. MedLibro sends a code only to an address that has an account. Then see [An email does not arrive](/en/help/email-problems).
- **The code you entered is wrong or has expired.** Check the digits, and use the newest email.
- **Too many tries for this code. Ask for a new one.** Select **Ask for the code** again.
