# Verify your email address

MedLibro sends a six-digit code to your address when you create an account. Until you use this code, the app opens only the **Verify your email address** page. This page shows the address that received the code.

## Type the code

1. Find the email from MedLibro.
2. Read the six digits in the subject of the email, for example *123456 is your MedLibro code*.
3. Type the six digits under **Enter the code**.

MedLibro checks the code after the sixth digit. You can also select **Confirm**.

## Use the button in the email

1. Open the email from MedLibro.
2. Select *Verify my address* in the email.
3. Log in if MedLibro asks you to.

## See what happens next

MedLibro shows **Your address is verified. Welcome to MedLibro!** and opens your dashboard. If you asked for another page before, MedLibro opens that page. You also get a welcome email.

## Get a new code

The code is valid for one hour. To get a new code, select **Resend the code**. If the button shows a countdown, wait until it ends.

A new code replaces the old code, so type the newest one. If you see **The code you entered is wrong or has expired.**, check the digits and type the newest code. After too many wrong tries, MedLibro shows **Too many tries for this code. Ask for a new one.**

<a id="wrong-address"></a>
## Correct a wrong address

Do this if the page shows an address that is wrong.

1. Select **Change the address**.
2. Type the correct address.
3. Select **Send the code**.

MedLibro changes the address of your account and sends a code to the new address. If the page shows **Resend the code to receive it at this address.**, wait for the countdown, then select **Resend the code**.

If another account uses the new address, MedLibro refuses it. If that account is yours, select **Log out** and log in to it.

## If no email arrives
