# Memorix

Memorix asks you again the questions that you got wrong. It waits longer each time that you remember the answer. This page says why this helps you, and how Memorix works.

## Why Memorix helps you remember

You forget a new fact quickly. But each time that you recall a fact, you keep it for longer. So the best moment to review a fact is just before you forget it. The name of this method is spaced repetition.

Memorix does this work for you. It asks a hard question again after a short time. When you know the answer, it waits longer before the next time. So you spend your time on your gaps, and not on what you know already.

For example, you get a question wrong today. Memorix can ask it again today. If you choose **Perfect** each time, it asks the question again after 4 days, then after 8 days, then after about 4 weeks.

## Cards and decks

Each question that you got wrong becomes a card. The cards of one module form a deck.

The **Memorix** page shows only the decks that have cards that wait for you. A card that does not wait yet stays hidden until its time passes. So a module can leave the page and come back later. If no card waits, the page shows only a short message.

## Use Memorix

- [Add a question to Memorix](/en/memorix/add-a-question): how a question becomes a card.
- [Review a deck](/en/memorix/review-a-deck): answer the cards that wait.
- [Rate a card](/en/memorix/rate-a-card): what each button does, and when the card comes back.
- [Manage your cards](/en/memorix/manage-your-cards): delete cards, and choose what to review first.
- [Memorix and your plan](/en/memorix/your-plan): what you see with each plan.
