# Buy a plan

You can buy Premium or a year plan online with a payment card. This page gives the steps. If you have an activation key, go to [Activate a key](/en/plans/activate-a-key).

## Before you start

- You need a MedLibro account with a verified email address. If your address is not verified, **Go Premium** is disabled.
- Your bank must enable your payment card for online payment.

## Pay online

1. Open the [Pricing](https://medlibro.co/pricing) page.
2. On the **Premium** card, find **I'm preparing**.
3. Select **Residency** for Premium, or select your year for a year plan.
4. Under **Duration**, select the duration that you want.
5. Read the price on the **Premium** card, in DZD.
6. Select **Go Premium**. MedLibro opens the payment page.
7. Type the details of your payment card on the payment page.
8. If the page asks for an email address, type the address of your MedLibro account.
9. Confirm the payment.

The large price is the amount that you pay. If the plan has a discount, the full price has a line through it. For more than one month, the **Premium** card also gives the price per month. You still pay the whole amount one time.

## After you pay

The payment page sends you back to your **Subscription** page. MedLibro checks your payment and shows the result.

When MedLibro confirms the payment, the page shows **Payment confirmed**, and MedLibro sends you an email. Your plan is active at once. If you added a period to a plan, [Extend your plan](/en/plans/your-subscription#extend-your-plan) says when it starts. If you see another message, go to [Fix a payment problem](/en/plans/payment-problems).

If the payment page does not send you back, or if you closed it too early, open your [Subscription](https://medlibro.co/subscriptions) page yourself. MedLibro checks your recent payments each time you open it. If your payment went through, the page shows your plan. If it does not, read [If your plan does not appear after you pay](/en/plans/payment-problems#if-your-plan-does-not-appear).

## If you are not logged in

**Go Premium** opens the login page. After you log in, MedLibro goes on to the payment page with your choice.

If you have no account, select **Create an account** on the login page. MedLibro does not keep your choice during this step. After you verify your email address, open the Pricing page and start again.

## If you already have a plan

If you choose what you already have, **Extend Premium** replaces **Go Premium**. It also replaces **Go Premium** if you have Premium and you select a year. Select **Extend Premium**. Read the message. Then select **Confirm**. [Extend your plan](/en/plans/your-subscription#extend-your-plan) says when the new period starts.

## If the plan card shows Activate a key

Sometimes online payment is unavailable, for all plans or only for a year plan. The plan card keeps its prices, and **Activate a key** replaces **Go Premium**. You have these choices:

- Buy a key at a point of sale, then [activate it](/en/plans/activate-a-key). A key gives Premium, and never a year plan.
- If you selected a year, select **Residency**. Online payment can still be open for Premium.
- Come back later and try again.

## If you cannot use a card or a key

Under the plans, find **Another way to pay?** and select **Write to us on Telegram**.
