# Change your year

If you move up a year, or if you chose the wrong year, you can move your year plan to another year.

> This moves all your periods to the new year at once, and your old year locks. You must then wait before you can change your year again. The window gives this date before you confirm.

## Change your year

1. Open your [Subscription](https://medlibro.co/subscriptions) page.
2. Select **Change year**.
3. Select your new year. The word **current** marks the year that you have now.
4. Read the date under the years.
5. Select **Confirm**.

The change applies at once. Your new year opens, and your old year locks. All your periods move to the new year, and a period that has not started moves too. Your playlists, your Memorix cards and your notes stay. A session on your old year shows a [lock](/en/plans/locked-content#locked-sessions).

The wait does not start when you buy a plan. So if you chose the wrong year when you paid, you can correct it at once. The only exception is a recent change of year, which still has its wait.

## If you cannot change your year

- If **Change year** is disabled and a line gives a date, wait until this date.
- If you see **Your subscriptions cover several years: write to us to change your year.**, [contact us](/en/help/contact-us).
- If the page has no **Change year** button, you do not have a year plan.
- The list has no residency. To prepare the residency, [buy Premium](/en/plans/buy-a-plan). Premium starts at once.
- The list has no 1st year, because the 1st year is free for every account.
