# When a plan ends

A paid plan ends by itself on its end date. MedLibro does not renew it and takes no payment. You are then on [Starter](/en/plans/starter).

## What stays

MedLibro erases nothing when a plan ends. Your sessions, your answers, your playlists, your Memorix cards and your notes all stay on your account.

## What changes

Without a plan, only the 1st year stays open.

- Sessions: a session with locked content shows a lock in your list. It still opens, and it [stops at the locked part](/en/plans/locked-content#locked-sessions).
- Playlists: a playlist plays only its 1st-year items. A lock beside its count shows how many items are locked. Inside the playlist, a line such as **3 items for subscribers** leads to **See the plans**. A playlist with only locked items does not open.
- Memorix: you see only your 1st-year cards. MedLibro keeps the other cards.
- Notebook: each module stays on the shelf, with all its notes counted. The book of a locked module shows grey bars in place of your notes.

## If another plan stays active

If one plan ends and another plan stays active, your playlists, your Memorix cards and your notes stay open, from every year. A session opens only the years that this plan opens.

## Open your work again

[Buy a plan](/en/plans/buy-a-plan) or [activate a key](/en/plans/activate-a-key). Your playlists, your Memorix cards and your notes open again at once. A session opens in full if your new plan opens all its years.
