# Answer questions

This page shows how to answer the questions of a session. The steps are the same on a phone and on a computer.

## Answer a question

1. Read the question.
2. Select the letter of each option that you think is right.
3. Select **Check**.
4. Read the result.
5. Select **Next**.

To untick an option, select its letter again. If no option is ticked, **Check** shows **Please select at least one option.**

After **Check**, each option shows a tick or a cross. The top of the question shows **Correct** or **Incorrect**, and the right letters.

You cannot change an answer after **Check**. To answer again, [reset your answers](/en/sessions/manage-your-sessions#reset-your-answers).

If your answer is wrong, MedLibro adds the question to [Memorix](/en/memorix), so that you see it again later.

## Use the buttons

| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Previous** | Goes back one question. |
| **Check** | Shows if your answer is right. |
| **Skip** | Marks the question as skipped and goes to the next one. |
| **Next** | Goes to the next question. |

On a phone, these buttons show only an icon. From left to right, they are previous, check, skip and next.

<a id="skip-or-next"></a>
## Choose between Skip and Next

**Next** leaves the question open, so you can come back and answer it. MedLibro saves the options that you ticked only when you select **Check**.

**Skip** closes the question. MedLibro counts it as skipped and shows its answer if you come back. You cannot answer it until you [reset your answers](/en/sessions/manage-your-sessions#reset-your-answers).

<a id="jump-to-another-question"></a>
## Jump to another question

**Previous** and **Next** each have a small arrow on their right. The arrow opens a menu. **Explore** does not have this menu.

- **Previous unanswered** and **Next unanswered** change what the button does. It then jumps to the nearest question that has no answer.
- **First question** and **Last question** jump once. The button stays as it was.

A skipped question counts as answered here. If nothing is left, MedLibro says so and you stay on the question.

MedLibro keeps your choice on this device, for all your sessions. To go back to the normal button, choose **Previous** or **Next** in the same menu.

## Read the explanation

If a question has an explanation, a small button shows beside its number. Select it to read the explanation. The button shows before you check, so wait if you want to test yourself first.

## Come back later

MedLibro saves your place. To leave, select the arrow at the top left. When you open the session again, it opens on the same question, on any device.

<a id="explore"></a>
## Read with the answers shown

**Explore** shows the right answers at once. Use it to read a session without answering.

To open a session this way, select **Explore** on its card in **Sessions**. You do not see **Check**, **Skip** or a score, and MedLibro saves no answer. To answer the questions, leave and select **Start**. MedLibro still saves your place, so **Start** opens on the question where you left **Explore**.
