Temporary sessions

A temporary session works like any session, and stays out of your list until you add it.

A temporary session lets you look at a selection before you keep it. It works like any session: you answer, check, read your score, reset your answers, and continue on any device. But Sessions does not list it, and MedLibro deletes it if you do not keep it.

MedLibro opens a temporary session in three cases.

  • You start a session with Draft.
  • You open a module, a course or an exam from the search.
  • You open a link to an exam, a module or a course.

A band at the bottom of the screen, above the buttons, reminds you with the words Temporary session.

Keep a temporary session

Select Add to my sessions in the band. The session joins the top of your list, with everything that you already answered.

Leave a temporary session

To leave, select the arrow at the top left. It takes you to your dashboard, because your list does not hold the session.

If you do not add it, MedLibro deletes the session 30 days after you last opened it. If you open it again, the 30 days start again.

When MedLibro deletes it, the session, your place and your highlights go. Your answers stay in your activity, and your notes and your Memorix cards stay too.

Open a temporary session again

Sessions does not list it, so use the same way in again. That is the same filters with Draft, the same result in the search, or the same link. MedLibro opens the same session, where you stopped.

A module or a course opens with all its exam years. If MedLibro adds a new exam year, the same link or search result opens a new temporary session. To keep a session that you want to continue, add it to your list.

If you already have a session in Sessions with exactly the same filters, MedLibro opens that one. An archived session does not count, so a new temporary session opens.

Change the filters of a temporary session

If a temporary session has no questions left, MedLibro offers Edit the session. The session then starts again on the new filters and stays temporary.

  1. Select Edit the session.
  2. Change the filters.
  3. Select Apply.
  4. Select Confirm.
